About
Lisa Marie Wilson is an educator, leadership strategist, speaker, and consultant with more than 30 years of experience supporting children, families, educators, and organizations through transformative learning and leadership development.
Currently serving as Director of Outreach & Engagement at ZERO TO THREE, Lisa leads national initiatives that strengthen connections between educators, communities, organizations, and systems serving young children and families. Her work focuses on professional learning, leadership development, partnership building, strategic planning, and creating opportunities for meaningful engagement across diverse sectors.
Before her national leadership roles, Lisa served as an infant-toddler and preschool teacher, program director, and early childhood program owner. Her approach to early childhood education was shaped by foundational work at the Child Educational Center in Pasadena, California, home of the internationally recognized Outdoor Classroom Project. Influenced by Reggio-inspired practices, Lisa approaches her work with a child-centered and love-centered philosophy rooted in relationships, honoring families and communities as children’s first teachers, and recognizing play as essential to healthy development and learning.
Throughout her career, Lisa has designed and facilitated professional learning experiences, coached leaders and educators, developed innovative frameworks for leadership and organizational growth, and supported statewide and national initiatives focused on literacy, language development, and educational excellence.
In addition to her leadership and consulting work, Lisa serves as faculty in higher education, mentoring future educators through relationship-centered learning experiences that bridge theory and practice.
Lisa holds a Master of Education with an emphasis in Multicultural Curriculum and Instruction and is currently completing her Doctorate of Education in Teaching and Curriculum. Across every aspect of her work, she remains committed to helping individuals, organizations, and communities cultivate the conditions where people can learn, lead, connect, and thrive.
