About
Lisa Marie Wilson is an educator, leadership strategist, speaker, and equity-centered consultant with more than three decades of experience advancing transformative practices in early childhood education, organizational leadership, and community engagement. Her work is grounded in the belief that meaningful growth happens through connection, reflection, and intentional action.
Currently serving as Director of Outreach & Engagement at ZERO TO THREE, Lisa leads national equity, culturally responsive, and community-centered initiatives within the National Center on Early Childhood Development, Teaching, and Learning. She collaborates with educators, researchers, nonprofit organizations, and leadership teams to strengthen systems that support children, families, and communities.
Lisa’s expertise spans leadership development, language justice, curriculum design, facilitation, educator coaching, and systems thinking. She has led statewide and national initiatives focused on literacy, equity, Black Language advocacy, and culturally affirming educational practices. Her work includes designing professional learning experiences, facilitating strategic partnerships, conducting applied research, and developing equity-centered coaching models that bridge research, policy, and practice.
In addition to her national leadership work, Lisa serves as faculty in higher education and has taught across multiple colleges and universities, mentoring future educators and leaders through relationship-centered learning experiences. Her background also includes nonprofit leadership, public speaking, advocacy, and real estate concierge services that support individuals and families through meaningful life transitions.
Lisa holds a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Multicultural Curriculum and Instruction and is currently completing her Doctorate of Education Teaching and Curriculum. Across every aspect of her work, she remains committed to building communities where people feel seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.
